To qualify for admission to the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, you must:
- be admitted to practice in the highest court of a state, commonwealth, territory, possession, or the District of Columbia for a period of at least three years immediately before the date of application;
- not have been the subject of any adverse disciplinary action pronounced or in effect during that preceding three-year period; and
- appear to the Court to be of good moral and professional character.
Open Court Admission
In this admission, you must be present in Court on Monday, June 11, 2018, during a special session. See “Instructions for Registration for Open Court Admission” below for application and instructions.
Because of the size of the courtroom, we are limited to a maximum of 50 alumni. We will begin accepting applications on January 8, 2018, and will review them on a first-come, first-served basis.
